Family Tree 2015

This commisioned artwork tells the story of a family's odyssey from the time of the Greko-Turkish War of 1919-22, to exile in Greece and eventual migration to Australia. Realized in Photoshop, it is a digital collage of photographs, text, maps and the some of my paintings from my 2008 Exhibition Abstraction and Space.

Crib Point to Hastings

58 x 150 cm, acrylic on canvas, 2016

This is the the view from the sand bar at the tip of the entrance to Western Port Bay, opposite French Island. March 2016. It's a very long walk along the sand, six or seven kilometers at a guess, along the beach from Somers. I didn't realise when I set out just how far it was. I pushed on hoping that I would find something special to make it all worth while. This is what I found.
